{"id":502,"date":"2014-01-24T12:11:52","date_gmt":"2014-01-24T19:11:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rockblot.wordpress.com\/?p=498"},"modified":"2014-11-24T04:35:17","modified_gmt":"2014-11-24T04:35:17","slug":"accessing-multiple-dropbox-accounts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rockblotter.com\/DijaKnowThat\/accessing-multiple-dropbox-accounts\/","title":{"rendered":"Accessing Multiple Dropbox Accounts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I regularly access more than one Dropbox account, but Dropbox doesn\u2019t let you install more than ONE installation of the Dropbox desktop application on your desktop.\u00a0 Ah, but given that I have a Windows 8.1 operating system, I found a workaround \u2014 use one or more Windows 8 Apps to access different Dropbox accounts<\/p>\n<table border=\"0\" width=\"100%\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"2\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"75%\">I installed Dropbox on my desktop and linked it up to \u201cmy\u201d Dropbox account.\u00a0 Then, I headed over to the Start Window and did a quick search through the Store to search for free applications that let you access a Dropbox account.\u00a0 I found a number of them, but I decided to give \u201cRainbow Drive\u201d a try and clicked the install button.<\/td>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"25%\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rockblotter.com\/DijaKnowThat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/screenshot-2014-01-24-10-27-361.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" style=\"background-image: none; float: none; padding-top: 0; padding-left: 0; margin: 0 auto; display: block; padding-right: 0; border-width: 0;\" title=\"Screenshot 2014-01-24 10.27.36\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rockblotter.com\/DijaKnowThat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/screenshot-2014-01-24-10-27-361.png\" alt=\"RainbowDrive\" width=\"180\" height=\"89\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"75%\">To add a cloud-based storage service, you need to bring up the charms bar (hover your mouse in the upper right hand corner to bring up the charms bar) and then select \u201csettings.\u201d\u00a0 When you click on \u201ccloud management\u201d the \u201cAdd cloud service\u201d window will appear.\u00a0 Since I wanted to connect to a Dropbox for an organization\u2019s records that I maintain, I clicked the Dropbox button and entered the logon ID and password for the organization\u2019s account.\u00a0 With that accomplished, I am now able to access both MY Dropbox from the desktop and I can click the Start button to open the Start Screen and click the Rainbow Drive to access the Organization\u2019s Dropbox.<\/p>\n<p>Rainbow Drive does allow you to connect to multiple accounts (SkyDrive, Dropbox, GoogleDrive, Box and BaiduYun), but you can connect to only one of each.\u00a0 So, if I wanted to connect to yet another Dropbox account, I\u2019d merely need to install one of the other Windows 8 applications available through the Store and link that app to a third Dropbox account.<\/td>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"25%\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rockblotter.com\/DijaKnowThat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/CloudSvc.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" style=\"background-image: none;
