{"id":680,"date":"2015-08-18T23:49:18","date_gmt":"2015-08-18T23:49:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rockblotter.com\/DijaKnowThat\/?p=680"},"modified":"2015-10-05T04:42:11","modified_gmt":"2015-10-05T04:42:11","slug":"windows-10-cant-save-to-onedrive-or-your-library-folders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rockblotter.com\/DijaKnowThat\/windows-10-cant-save-to-onedrive-or-your-library-folders\/","title":{"rendered":"Problem: Windows 10 Unable to Save to OneDrive or Your Library Folders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rockblotter.com\/DijaKnowThat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Win10.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-682\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rockblotter.com\/DijaKnowThat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Win10.jpg\" alt=\"Win10\" width=\"224\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rockblotter.com\/DijaKnowThat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Win10.jpg 224w, https:\/\/www.rockblotter.com\/DijaKnowThat\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Win10-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 224px) 100vw, 224px\" \/><\/a>I recently updated my trusty Windows 8.1 Media Center Pro workstation to Windows 10 Professional. \u00a0All went well with the upgrade, or so I thought until I tried to save documents to my OneDrive folders or to my windows Library folders (Documents, Pictures, Music, Video) and got this pesky little dialog window that promptly proclaimed:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;You don&#8217;t have permission to save in this location. \u00a0Contact the Administrator to obtain permission.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Would you like to save in the Documents folder instead?&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Huh? I was looking at the Documents folder on my screen to which it was denying me, the Administrator of my PC, access. \u00a0Well that was a nasty setback.<\/p>\n<p>So, I started searching the web looking to see if anyone had the same issue (yep, many folks) and if anyone had yet found a resolution for the issue. \u00a0Most of what I found was frustration at not being able to resolve the issue, but one gentleman said he had tried something and it had worked for him. \u00a0His solution was to go into the properties window and in the security tab, grant full access to\u00a0&#8220;Home User.&#8221; \u00a0Figuring I had nothing to lose, I gave it a try and fixed my issues in short order.
